The walking group set a new pace record! We all pushed hard to keep up with Jessie and finished 2 miles in 28 minutes!
Walking group news: Fred injured his foot playing basketball 2 weeks ago. He attributes this injury to inadequate foot wear :-( After his injury he went out and bought a pair of Asics walking/running shoes. Fred gives his Asics a thumbs up. He admits that he was skeptical when he saw the price and design but after giving them a try, he loves them! Happy healing Fred!
The group tried walking with Jessie's "2 pound" weights but they were really 1 pound (discovered later). We wame to the conclusion that 1 pound individual walking weights are not worth the money and carrying a water bottle is more practical. Its heavier and it will keep you hydrated!
