Product Review for the Lose It! App (iphone)
Lose It! is a FREE app and is one of the most popular health/fitness apps for the iphone. Lose It! counts calories, tracks fitness, tracks your weight, tracks your goals, tracks your nutrient intake, budgets your calorie intake for the day, etc.
I initially started using the Lose it because of the reviews I would hear from the people I coach at work. Many of them mentioned that the app helped them with weight loss when they used it regularly. I searched for the app and discovered that it was FREE! My goal with the app was to lose 5 pounds in a month. I ended up losing 5 pounds in 2 weeks! Using the app made me more aware of the calories and foods I ate throughout the day. It also motivated me to exercise more so I could stay under my calorie budget. All in All Jess and I give the Lose It app 2 thumbs up!
What We Liked
- The app is FREE!
- Has a place to log your exercise and when you log the exercise it adds those subtracted calories burned back into your daily calorie budget
- You can use your phone to scan the bar code on packages to track food
- Budgets your calories according to the goal you set
- You can build a inventory of the foods you normally eat for easier tracking
- Keeps track of your weight and you can publish your progress for more motivation
What We Didn't Like
- It becomes a little difficult when tracking dinners cooked at home
- Food data base has many of the basic foods but may not have the food that you ate
- Exercise data base has many of the basic exercises but not all
