The Choice by Anthony Walker of Anthonysdesk
Everyday we make choices. Some are choices are simpler than others. We choose to get up, or stay down. We choose to do something, or continue to do nothing. We choose L.I.F.E. or we choose death. 1 Corinthians 10:13 lets us know that we actually choose sin, over righteousness. We make choices.
After the Children of Israel cried for freedom, God granted them freedom by hearing their cry, freeing them from bondage, defeating and punishing their enemies, and giving them a law. However, with freedom comes responsibility, which comes with choices, which in turn come with consequences. We want the freedom from sin and bondage, but we don't want the responsibility or the choices. But guess what? We are free. Christ died so that we could be. And now we are responsible for our lives. If your life is in shambles, you are responsible. No you may not have caused the problems you have, but you are responsible for responding to them. All of those resolutions and goals you have for 2012, you are responsible! No one will be more passionate or motivated about your life than you. The day that you excuse yourself is the day that you choose death.Take the responsibility and make the choice.
What are you going to do? Are you going to break down or break through? Will you continue to choose anyone else or will you choose Jesus?
And..........
Everyday, you have to make that choice. Everyday you have to choose L.I.F.E. You can no longer worry about yesterday. God took care of yesterday and now it is over. No longer worry or be bothered by your enemies, God says, I will punish them. Don't be concerned about tomorrow, it will take care of the concerns of itself. You must make the choice TODAY!!
Want to do better financially? Make the choice today! Want to lose weight (or get into shape)? Make the choice today! Want to do those things which you've said you'd do for the last 5 years? Make the choice today! Want to be saved? Want to go to heaven? Make the choice today! "But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it." Deut 30:14
